Beta is out there to download for everyone. TechNet and MSDN subscribers can download the SP2 CPP now from their portal. Now good news is windows 2008 service Pack 2 can be applied to Vista computers as well. The secret behind is that both operating systems use the same codes. This brings a huge advantages to administrators when they want to deploy the service pack to the computers in their organizations. So what are the new advantages on this service pack? Well in the server side few things are as follows,
- Improved power savings over the RTM release of Windows Server 2008
- Integration of Hyper-V into Windows Server 2008. SP2 includes the Hyper-V RTM Code.
- All previously released hot fixes and security updates are rolled into SP2 as well.
